DIY: Glue gun Snowflakes

Hey! Christmas is just around the corner and everyone seemed to be very busy to even put up their Christmas trees at home. Lucky, we only have a small version of the tree (which is way cheaper) that we can decorate it even with just a few ornaments.

So, to spice it up a bit, my sister thought that we go for a purple and silver Christmas theme this year. We gathered up what we can re-use from our decors last year and up-do some to go with the theme. And to add up more glittery effect I thought of making my own snowflakes ornaments.

This has been a hit a few years back and there are lots of videos on this if you search on YouTube. So, without further ado let's start our fun and easy DIY!

What you need:
Glue gun
Glue sticks (transparent or colored)
Glue
Glitters
Glass table or a piece of tile to work on

Optional:
Brush

What to do:

1. Draw your own snowflakes pattern and attach it under your glass table. If you will be using a tile you can try using a whiteboard marker and draw your pattern on the tile.

2. Put a small amount of lotion or oil above your glass to prevent the hot glue from sticking permanently.

3. When the glue gun is hot enough you can start squeezing the hot glue on the glass, carefully following the pattern.

4. Wait for it to completely cool down. While waiting you can make more patterns and start squeezing the hot glue on it.

5. When it is cold enough you can start removing strings of excess glue and cleaning up the edges of your snowflakes.

6. You can use it as is or you can add glitters to make it more eye catching. Spread some glue. You can use a paint brush to make sure that the glue is spread evenly.

7. When all strands of your snowflakes is covered with glue, sprinkle the glitters. Be careful.

8. Let it dry and you're done!

9. Optional: attach strings to hang it on your tree

I made quite a few because they are sooooo cute! It can be hard on your first try but you will get the hang of it after finishing your first snowflake. I enjoyed making this diy glue gun snowflakes. They are so glittery and lovely! It really brings up the mood of Christmas when you add them on your Christmas tree or wreath. Why not try making them too?

Share with me your version of DIY Glue Gun Snowflakes ornaments! Merry Christmas everyone!
