I just finished another easy crochet phone case a few days ago...
And here's the pattern I promised.

This super easy crochet pattern would take you an hour to finish. This is perfect for going-out to the park or when you like listening to the songs stored on your phone while biking or jogging. I really find this crochet pouch useful when I'm doing the household chores and listening to music at the same time.

This is the final look of my crochet phone pouch pattern with detachable strap. Of course, you can fix the strap permanently if you want. I prefer tying the strap only when I want to hang it on my neck. But it's up to you.

Hi! It's been a while since the last time I posted. I've been busy at home and a lot of things happened lately. But I did my best to make something crafty and here's the outcome.

More squares...

I made another crochet granny square coin purse. The combination of color is so cool for me. Plus, I used a coin as button.

Then, more granny squares which I'm going to use to construct a bag, hopefully. At the present, I've finished the body of the bag and on my way crocheting the strap and flap. I'm planning to add the lining too.

I'll share more pictures on my next post. And if I had the time I'll make a tutorial too.

Hi guys! Philippines is in a Back-to-school mode this June and everyone's busy about it that I also lost the time to blog about my recent projects.

Last week, I was rummaging my crochet box when I found a small ball of pink crochet thread. I thought I should make something out of it. Then, it came to me...since the school year's ought to begin why don't I make something for my sister who's gonna be a freshman college this year.

After a few hours, I finally finished the crochet cellphone case. Haha! The color is so girly!

To add a little quirky touch to it, I decided to put a flower applique.

What kept me busy the past few days??

Well, I'm trying to learn how to make granny squares from YouTube. And luckily I made something.

The past few days here in the Philippines is not so great because of the sudden changes on the weather (for me :D). In the morning the Sun was so hot then, on the afternoon the rain would pour heavily. I don't know but maybe because of the weather changing so abruptly that people here would often be on bad mood. Hmpf.

To ease everything for me I just stayed inside, lay on the couch and fill my stomach. One afternoon, I ate a slice of cake from Tiffany's and drank cold milk just to lessen the heat around me. So sweet, I don't recommend the combination because after that snack I swear not to eat sweets again.

Well, aside from eating I tried out something...doodling!

I realized I'm not into it. I preferred sketching I guessed. Here's an unfinished doodle of mine.

Can't get enough of my burgundy crochet thread lately!

So, I made another easy crochet pattern. The first pattern I made using the same thread is HERE.

I made this pattern to keep all my wires and chargers in one place while traveling. Yeah! We're going on a mini vacation this April and I'm really excited about it.

Here's what I made....

A Crochet Drawstring Pouch Bag slash Charger Keeper, haha!

It's super easy to make and beginners would finish this in no time. This pattern is perfect for anything. It can be a bag organizer as well, you can put anything on it.

The pattern comes with three cute bows which I learned on YouTube.

It's about 5.5 x 5.5 inches and it holds my 2 phone chargers, mp3 charger, 2 earphones, my cam charger and 3 USB cables. It looks small but it can keep lots of stuff. Perfect for travelling or when you're going on a vacation like me.

How was your Holy Week?

Me and my family spent the Holy Week at home. We did not go elsewhere because we want to spend the week together. We just watched the TV Mass and the Lenten Recollection. We also watched some movies and listen to each other's stories while relaxing at home. Yesterday, we attended the Easter Mass and had lunch at my aunt's place. And now, everything was back to normal.

During the Holy Week, I did managed to make a crochet project. It was inspired by the Lenten Season and my need for a unique accessory. I found a free pattern and immediately made my own version.

It was summer here in Philippines and the weather's really hot. Since, it's summer I was looking for cool accessories I can use, specifically a unique necklace. And I found what I was looking for. It came to me, why don't I crochet my own necklace.

And here's the crochet project I had. A crochet necklace with a cross pendant.

What I've accomplished lately, a very easy to make Crochet Coin Purse. This pattern is again perfect for beginners like me. The free pattern would just take you half an hour and you'll have a cute little crochet purse to use. You can make many of this in different color combinations.

Today, I won't be using crochet thread instead I bought an ordinary craft yarn that's available here in the Philippines. It's about 10 - 15 pesos and you can buy them at the school supplies stores or even at the nearest sari-sari stores. So, let's get started...

What you need:

2 rolls of yarn in different colors (but it depends on you though)
scissors
yarn needle
a piece of button

The Pattern

Free Crochet Coin Purse Pattern

The Body

Chain 13, single crochet on the 2nd chain from the hook across all the remaining chains. On the last, chain, slip stitch and chain 1.

Now, work on the other side of the chain and work single crochets on all the chain stitches. Slip Stitch on the first sc you made and chain 1.

Row 1-14: work sc across all the stitches, sl st and chain 1. Repeat until you have 14 rows of sc. (You can alter the height of the pattern here. If you want it to be taller add few rows if you want your to be smaller just remove some rows.)

Row 15: work sc across all the stitches, on the last stitch chain 22 (for the handle), sl st on the 1st single crochet. lock the yarn in place and cut excess.

I can feel the heat of Summer!

Are you excited about Summer? Me, I'm looking forward for a fun summer getaway with my whole family that is why I was motivated to accomplish this project really quick.

Since the weather is HOT, we might opt to wear comfy tank tops and sandos. But to add more style why don't we wear something that's comfortable and at the same time unique.

Another easy DIY craft for this month. This is actually the 2nd crochet project I'm talking about on my previous post. If you want to see my 1st crochet project this month, click HERE. If you know the basics of crochet and know how to make half double and double crochets you'll surely finish this DIY craft in no time.

I am not really into music but after our dad bought us an acoustic guitar back when I was in senior high school me and my sisters started to love it. That is also because Taylor Swift inspired us through her songs. We loved her songs and we tried our best to learn them on guitar. T. Swift's songs are easy to play and remember, thanks to her now, I know how to play a few country songs.

So, here's an easy DIY craft tutorial for girls out their who loves to strum their guitar and play their favorite songs or for the guys that's close to your heart and shares your passion for music. If you have a guitar at home and you played it like a Rock star you'll definitely need a cool guitar strap!

Hi guys! How's your day?

I'm currently doing a research on Law Schools here in the Philippines. As I said on my About me section, I really want to take Law because my parents want me to. And I just had the motivation to finally take the Law Entrance exam this March. Wish me luck guys!

Aside from that, I've been busy with my three crochet projects last week and today I'm going to show you my first crochet project for the week. Here's my Crochet Headset Ear Cover Pattern. It's an unintentional one because I just happened to notice that our headset looked broken while I was about to upload some pictures of my ongoing 2nd crochet project. And it went well.

Having a pair of headset at home is a must when you have your own computer or maybe a music player or an ipod right? But because it was used so often it breaks easily or the foam that protects the ears tears apart in no time.

Hey! How are you doing guys?

Last week was great for me because we received another set of orders for our crochet patterns. My sister's best friend ordered 2 crochet cellphone case, a crochet card holder and a crochet tablet cozy. I'm halfway done with the card holder and the first cellphone case. I'm hoping to finish the patterns this weekend.

Anyway, our little kitten occupied most of our time the past few days. We named him "Ma-Chang" which sounds cute for him. It's a Chinese dish we found from Ersao's leaflet. Actually we're not sure yet if he's a HE or SHE but we're hoping that he's really a HE. Any body knows how to check if a kitten is male or female?? Please let me know.

Okay! So much for that. Let's go back to the present. Today, I'm going to share with you the pattern I made for this Crochet Cellphone Case. This crochet cellphone case or the QWERTY PHONE CASE as we labeled it, is super easy to make. Beginners would really love this pattern, you can be creative and try to mix different colors or add different accents to make it more cute or classic.

If you want the classic crochet look you can opt to use a single color of crochet thread or yarn just like what I did with these crochet cellphone cases.

It's a brand new day! I'm back!

I haven't posted anything last week because unluckily, I got sick again. Aside from that, crocheting occupied most of my free time so I can't find time to blog what's happening on my misselayneous life. Smiles.

Aside from that, I helped my little sister with her art project. Here's what we made.

A cute recycled doll for their classroom decoration. I love her little smile.

Going back, me and my sister used the new patterns I made so we can earn some before Christmas. My aunt helped us sell them and we are hoping to make more patterns before the season ends. My hands are really itching to share some pictures and soon I'd be posting the pattern. I just hope you'll come back and check how simple the pattern is.

I made this simple Qwerty Phone Case using half double crochets and double crochets. It's really easy to make.

Just finished two more crochet project. I think I'm getting a bit quicker that I could finish two purses in two days. I'm glad for that. I made a regular size purse which can keep cash or cellphones or anything you always want to hand-carry. And a smaller one which I labeled as "box mode" purse because it sounds nice rather than naming it as a "square" purse.

For the last few months crocheting occupied most of my free time. I made some projects and started to share it here on my blog. I was all alone crocheting until last week my sister became interested with this hobby of mine. She wanted to learn how to crochet and my mom immediately taught her how. My mom is the one who also taught me the basics and I grew up with her crocheted tablecloths and table toppers. She's fast at it while I spend two days for a small coin purse. Of course, I'm still a beginner and I ought to learn more.

My sister gave me a nice idea about this crocheting...she asked me why I don't make money from it. And I answered, "I'm not yet satisfied with what I've made so far. I think have to practice more." But she insisted that I can practice crocheting while I made crochet patterns for future customers. I have to think about it. Selling my crochet products means I have to have a capital: money and time.

And since you're here reading this blog... I have to ask you a favor. Can you do it to help me decide? I just need a few minutes from your time.

Hi guys! I'm gonna share with you another simple and easy crochet pattern here on Misselayneous Things. The pattern I'm talking about is how to make a little doily like this one.

Materials needed:

A yarn or crochet thread of any color. Me, I personally preferred using crochet threads because we want to make cute sizes of crochet flowers. If you want yours to be bigger you should opt using yarn.

A crochet hook depending on the size of the thread you're using.

A pair of scissors

A piece of yarn needle.

How To:

1. Make 4 chains, then, slip stitch to the first chain. Thus, making a circle.

2. Chain 3 then, slip stitch into the hole of the circle.

3. Then, chain 3 again and slip stitch into the hole. Make 5 sets of 3 chains to make a 5-petal flower.

4. On the last set of 3 chains, slip stitch to the hole inside the 1st set of 3 chains instead of slip stitching into the hole of the circle.

5. Next, inside the 1st set of 3 chains make a half double crochet, 2 double crochets, a half double crochet and slip stitch into the next set of 3 chains. Repeat this step until you're done with the last petal.

6. To finish it up, cut out the crochet thread at least 2 inches from the flower you created. Then, use a needle and sew it at the back of the flower for extra security and cut out the excess. And that's easy as that! You now have your own cute crochet flowers to use.

This is another easy Do-it-yourself crochet project that you can finish in just a few minutes. I got the inspiration after watching a YouTube tutorial. This is super easy to make and again perfect for beginners out there.

Since it's May and my sister had her 20th birthday, I decided to gave her something special and at the same time useful. Here's another crochet pattern that I made which is so easy to make and I'm sure beginner's would love to make their own. It got me a day to complete this pattern (yeah! cause i did a lot of other things besides this).

The things that you would need:

-a crochet thread or yarn of any color (I prefer purple for the base and pink for the top portion)

-a crochet hook depending on the size of your thread

-a pair of scissors

The pattern...

The pattern is really up to you guys..'cause it depends on the size that you wanted to achieve. For me, I did about 12 chains to start it up..then I slip stitched the last chain to the 2nd chain from the hook. Next, I had this 10 single crochets. Then, for the next layer I had 10 half double crochets and just keep on repeating this until you had enough layers to cover your phone. You could change the color of your thread when you reached about 3/4 of your desired height.

February was over and I am still on my way on finishing another crochet project. This time I am working out a small clutch bag and hopefully I could finish this before the end of March. I think this would be a cute gift for a "girl friend" or maybe to your beloved mom, grandma, aunt or your favorite teacher at school.

It was easy to make and beginners would have fun doing this. I haven't finish this yet because I ran out of thread and I was not able to buy a new one at this point.

As for now, I am very excited to share the pattern with you. I started out on the pattern by doubling the number of rows and stitches needed. This is because I was using a thinner thread and I have to double it up so that I would achieve my desired size for the clutch bag. If you're going to use yarn, two chains would be equivalent to 1 chain, same with the single crochets. Two chains using crochet thread is equal to one chain using yarn :)

FEW DAYS BEFORE I FINISHED THE BAG

Things we need for this cute bag: a crochet thread (I'm using a monaco thread for this) or yarn of any color you want. You may choose to have two or more colors for your bag. A crochet hook that fits the size of your thread or yarn. And a pair of scissors and a needle would be of great help.
